Sebastian Inlet Fishing Report – Oct 27, 2025 (Pre-Front Action & Park Hour Changes)

Sebastian Inlet Fishing Report – Oct 27, 2025 (Pre-Front Action & Park Hour Changes)

Happy Monday from Sebastian Inlet. Before the latest stretch of strong winds and big surf, fishing had started to look good again. Then the weather flipped the switch and washed out much of the weekend.

Before getting into the fishing details, here’s an important heads-up for everyone visiting the park.

Park Hours Update: Starting November 12, operating hours at the South Ranger Station will follow standard park hours (8 a.m. to sunset), with after-hours access only for registered campers or visitors with an annual pass and after-hours permit. The North Ranger Station will continue operating 24/7. For the most current information, always check the official Sebastian Inlet State Park website.

North Jetty

Before the swell moved in, water clarity was improving and temperatures had cooled back to seasonal norms.

Most of the action came on the high incoming tide. Snook and redfish were caught on both sides of the jetty using live pinfish and shrimp. There were lots of undersized fish, but a decent number of slot snook mixed in as well.

Spanish mackerel were chewing on small jigs, silver spoons, and live greenies along the beach side.

Bottom anglers fishing sand fleas and shrimp picked up a few pompano, some black drum, and even one keeper permit.

On the outgoing tide, the tip produced jack crevalle and small bluefish on spoons, jigs, and finger mullet.

South Jetty

A similar pattern played out here, with the incoming tide producing the best results.

Small snook and a few slot fish were caught on live pinfish, with some redfish mixed in. Mangrove snapper and a few pompano showed as well — with pompano responding well to goofy jigs at the tip.

Outgoing tide action consisted mostly of jacks, catfish, small blues, and puffers.

T-Dock Area

Fishing was a bit slow but still produced some mixed-bag action on incoming water.

Spanish mackerel hit live greenies and small white jigs. Small mangrove snapper were caught around the pilings on dead shrimp and cut bait — most undersized, with a few keepers.

A couple of undersized mutton snapper were also caught (remember, they must be at least 19 inches to keep). Some black drum and sheepshead were reported as well.

Note: Dredging work was scheduled to resume near the T-Dock, and that area may be closed while the project is underway.

Surf – Both Sides

Surf conditions were blown out and remained rough as swells tied to offshore weather systems continued. Beach fishing was very limited.

When conditions line up again, expect the bite to rebound quickly — it was just starting to fire back up before the weather turned.
