Quick Bite: Reporting Week of Jan 13, 2026
  • North Jetty: Spanish mackerel were the main show—lots of 14–18" “fatties” on live pilchards, small white jigs, silver spoons, and Gotchas (incoming tide). A few blues mixed in; a couple black drum + redfish at daylight (outgoing), plus a few catch-and-release redfish along the wall on live baits.
  • South Jetty: Slow—mostly blues and Spanish on the incoming. SSE winds muddied it up and brought catfish/stingrays back, which shut down last week’s flounder bite.
  • T-Dock Area: Some small sheepshead + black drum around pilings/shoreline on live shrimp. A few Spanish + blues in the channel on spoons/small jigs; flounder bite fell off again and finger mullet have been hard to come by.
  • Surf – North & South: South surf is a muddy/weedy mess (catfish + stingrays). North surf near the north lot still has pompano, whiting, and small black drum on shrimp and live sand fleas thanks to cleaner water.
