Sebastian Inlet Fishing Report – Oct 20, 2025 (Safety First & Bait-Filled Water)

Sebastian Inlet Fishing Report – Oct 20, 2025 (Safety First & Bait-Filled Water)

Another beautiful weekend at Sebastian Inlet with plenty of finger mullet pouring through and predators on them when the water cleaned up.

Before we get into the fishing details, here are a couple of important safety reminders for everyone sharing the jetty.

  • Pedestrian & emergency lane: The area between the railing and the yellow lines is for foot traffic and emergency access only. Please keep it clear of carts, coolers, buckets, and extra rods.
  • Gear placement: Set your equipment on the metal grates in the center of the jetty so everyone can move around safely.
  • Courtesy counts: Everyone has the same right to enjoy the jetty — fishing, sightseeing, or wildlife watching. A little courtesy goes a long way.

With that said, mullet schools have been thick and water temperatures have finally dropped into the mid-70s. Visibility has been up and down with dirty water rolling through at times, but when it cleans up, the fish are there.

North Jetty

On cleaner high-tide periods, snook and redfish were caught on live shrimp, mullet, and pinfish.

Outgoing tide action included jacks, ladyfish, and small bluefish. Bottom anglers reported some drum mixed in as well.

South Jetty

The south side saw similar action, with jacks dominating during rougher periods.

When the water cleaned up, anglers picked up snook and reds on live baits during the incoming tide.

T-Dock Area

Incoming tide produced a mixed bag including snapper, the occasional snook, and other species on live and dead baits.

Surf – North & South

Surf conditions were variable and often too rough to fish consistently, which limited results.

Overall, it was one of those weeks where timing the clean water windows made all the difference.

Bait tip: When bait is thick, match the hatch. Swing by Saltwater Cowboy Bait & Tackle for live mullet, shrimp, and pinfish before hitting the rocks.
